Sam Goldman, CEO
Sam grew up in Mauritania, Pakistan, Peru, India, and Rwanda. After graduating with degrees in Biology and Environmental Studies from the University of Victoria, Canada, he spent four years in Benin with the Peace Corps founding and managing a for-profit NGO (GARPE-ONG) which runs a large rural agricultural training center. With GARPE, he built Benin’s first factory to process leaves from the nutritional plant, Moringa oleifera, to provide nutritional supplements to hospitals and health centers. Nedjip Tozun, President

Ned graduated from Stanford with degrees in Computer Science and Earth Systems. A serial entrepreneur, he has founded several start-ups. He co-founded and was the CTO of Namewaves, where he designed and patented technology that was used to develop and launch several products in the mobile content and specialty gift markets in the US, Europe and Japan. Ned earned an MBA from Stanford.


Sandeep Singhal, Director
Sandeep Singhal is the Managing Director of Nexus India Capital Advisors. Prior to Nexus, Sandeep was Co-Founder and CEO of Medusind Solutions, one of the leading healthcare outsourcing companies in India. Sandeep is also the co-founder and Managing Director of eVentures, a leading Venture Capital firm focused on early stage investments. Sandeep has invested in CustomerAsset (acquired by ICICI Onesource), Mentorix Solutions (acquired by Lionbridge), Intigma (acquired by Emptoris), MakeMyTrip (sale to SAIF Partners), and remains an investor in Netmagic Solutions, Contests2win, and Connecturf. Sandeep has held senior roles at McKinsey & Company, Digital Equipment and EDA Systems.


Arun Gore, Director
As a Managing Director & Partner, Arun brings his entrepreneurial skills, general management experience and commitment to economic development to Gray Ghost Social Venture Fund’s management, international operations, portfolio development and social and financial value creation. In addition to this, Arun runs a business operations and management consulting practice since 2006, which includes managing joint ventures for T-Mobile, establishing overseas operations for US firms and promoting private equity investments for start-ups. As CFO of Cook Inlet T-Mobile, he was engaged in managing joint venture operations and procuring funding of over $1 billion through syndications of senior secured credit facilities. Specifically, Arun acquired and transacted multi-million dollar deals and was an authorized bidder for purchase of licenses worth over $1 billion.


Don Tice, Director
For over 25 years Donn has created new ways to accelerate the growth of his businesses, and has led companies as an entrepreneur and CEO/COO for the past 15 years. He has tripled or quadrupled his companies’ sales, created $100+ million businesses, raised nearly $100 million in equity and debt capital, and purchased or sold five businesses. Donn founded Sustainable Solutions in 2006, which assisted Consumer and Greentech Venture and Private Equity investors accelerate the growth of their portfolio companies and evaluate new investments. From 2003 to 2006, Donn served as CEO of Nano-Tex, building a stain-resistant fabric technology into one of the first successful consumer nanotech businesses. From 1997 – 2002, Donn was CEO of Winterland, the legendary Bill Graham San Francisco entertainment merchandise company. Within three years, sales grew from $30 million to $110 million, while profits rebounded $14 million - from a $7 million loss to a $7 million profit.


Rajan Kundra, Director
Raj is the Director of Capital Markets and the Energy Portfolio at the Acumen Fund. As Director of the Energy Portfolio, Raj heads Acumen’s principal investing effort in renewable energy, where he led the portfolio launch in 2007. As Director of Capital Markets, Raj oversees Acumen’s strategy to raise invested capital, including its first invested social capital fund which is scheduled to close in the fourth quarter of 2008. Raj worked at Lehman Brothers for 6 years, where he was a Senior Vice President in a variety of positions. Prior to Lehman, Raj worked at J.P. Morgan 9 years, where he was Vice President in Capital Markets and Interest Rate Derivatives.


Ulhas Yargop, Director
Ulhas Yargop is President – IT Sector at Mahindra & Mahindra Limited and a Member of the Group Management Board. The IT Sector includes Tech Mahindra (focused on the telecom vertical), Bristlecone (supply chain consulting), Mahindra Consulting (ERP), Mahindra Logisoft (dealership management systems). The Group started several new businesses during his tenure, including used vehicles, engineering services and Mahindra SIRF, the Corporate VC Fund.
