d.light's Nova product was designed to provide better, brighter, safer and more affordable light for families without reliable electricity.
Nova Solar Charging
The Nova uses a rechargeable battery needing replacement approximately every 1-2 years. These batteries are available in most electronics markets. d.light also supplies high quality replacement batteries at competitive prices to distributors.
The charge state of the battery can be viewed with the indicator light. When the Nova is on, the indicator light will flash 1-4 times to indicate how much charge is left in the battery. When the battery is almost empty, the light will flash red to indicate that the Nova needs recharging.
The d.light Nova has three settings:
| Setting | Uses | # of hours* |
| Low | Walking/ Socializing | 32 hours |
| Medium | Cooking/ Working | 16 hours |
| High | Studying | 8 hours |
* on a full charge
AC Charging
AC Charging
Using our proprietary charging technology, the Nova will charge in 5 hours using AC electricity. This is many times faster than other rechargeable lighting products.
Solar Charging
For those families without regular access to electricity, d.light also provides the option to charge using a small portable solar panel.
